Aarhus University is one of Europe’s largest, on 1 January 2011 as part of the academic development process at Aarhus University, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Aarhus School of Business merged to form Aarhus School of Business and Social Sciences. Aarhus University is one of the best business schools and has been awarded an EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation since 2001 and in January 2008 we were approved to initiate the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation process. EQUIS and AACSB are the leading international quality systems for assessing, improving and accrediting institutions of higher education within the fields of management and business administration.
EQUIS accreditation is awarded by the EFMD (European Foundation of Management Development), whose members are the leading business schools all over the world. AACSB accreditation (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) is awarded by AASCSB International. Accreditations are awarded to the entire institution and not just to an individual programme or any particular division of the organization. Both accreditation systems uphold an earth-shattering focus on strategy.
And is thus a member of the same exclusive club as the London Business School and INSEAD in France. With its 8000 students and more than 500 employees, they are among the ten largest EQUIS-accredited business schools in Europe. They are educating the leaders of tomorrow. Campus:
The Aarhus School of Business (ASB) is situated on Fuglesangs Allé on the corner between Vestre Ringgade and Viborgvej. The main entrance is via Fuglesangs Allé 4 15 minutes’ walk from the city centre. Four of ASB’s departments are situated at other addresses. The Department of Management and part of the Department of Marketing, Informatics and Statistics are located at Haslegårdsvej 10. The Department of Economics is based at Frichshuset, Hermodsvej 22. ASB Executive is located atFuglesangs Allé 26.

Faculty:
The Academic Council consists of ten members representing the core faculty, including PhD students, and up to four students. Faculty representatives are elected by their peers for a period of four years and the student representatives are elected for a period of one year. The Dean is chairman of the Academic Council. The Academic Council advises the Dean and the management team on central strategies, funding and budgetary issues of ASB. The Academic Council also has a key role in terms of general academic surveillance as it approves all appointments and the conferral of doctorates.
