The focus of BITM is to impart best management education to the students and equip them to be enablers of tomorrow’s world .
BITM is being developed as a center of excellence in ‘Management Education’. It offers programmes in Management (Specializations in Telecom Management, Marketing, Finance, Operation, and System), with an additional emphasis on the Telecom Industry along with the backbone of Information Technology. We believe in developing effective management skills within the students for the benefit of the industry
The aim is to create, through effective education; training and research, a renewable talent bank in varied disciplines of management science and telecom not only to help students to carve out their niche in the industry in the industry but also to benefit the industry. Admission to BITM is done through a scientific selection process. The rigorous scheduling of ‘on-the-job training’ and classroom inputs, comprising of multiple subjects, conducted throughout the year as per the demand of the dynamic business environment, ensure that BITM students represent the best management graduates.
The Balaji Institute of Telecom and Management (BITM), (An AICTE approved institute) an Institute run by Sri Balaji Society. BITM was started in the year 2002 with a focus on the dynamic needs of the industry in the ever-changing business environment and is driven by powerful forces of technological innovation, intense competition & globalization. BITM has been ranked 3rd amongst the top B-Schools in Telecom & Management in India by ‘Outlook’ (Dated September 27, 2004).
BITM trains its student managers to become ‘enablers of tomorrow’s world. It strives to transform individuals into multi-faceted, multi-skilled, multi-lingual, dynamic, well-groomed, well-trained corporate citizens through intense grooming with a variety of our course specializations ranging from Telecom, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Systems, with focus on IT & Telecom Management. The students are compatible and enabled for all sectors of the industry and also cater to the niche segment of the ever-changing and dynamic telecom industry.

About the Campus
The exact mess fee and menu thereof will be negotiated by the student body once they reach our location and once they are selected by the students. It is not compulsory as restaurants are also there in the campus.So it is left to the discretion of the students. The cost of mess facilities can also be covered from the bank loan, although it is not required to be remitted to us.
BITM has a well-equipped Library for students. They are allowed to draw eight books at a time for a period of 15 days. The Library subscribes to all the leading newspapers, periodicals and international magazines. Students, faculty members and scholars are encouraged to recommend as many books of international standards as required by them.
The institute has its own Wi-Fi enabled Computer Laboratories. Full-time students are allowed to learn and practice in the computer laboratory under the guidance of trained faculty members. BITM holds classes in their own laboratories.
Students should compulsory wear the institute uniform for all the functions/ guest lectures/ workshops/ seminars. The uniform is as under:
(a) Male students: Grey Suit and black shoes.
(b) Female students: Grey saree and Grey blouse (Specimen will be displayed
A doctor appointed by BITM will be available in the Institute for an hour thrice a week. Those seeking medical assistance can meet him/her. All the students will also go through complete medical heck-up in the Institute. However all the absences on medical grounds will have to be adjusted by the students amongst 5%. Students having medical problem of any kind are advised not to apply to BITM as even the industry expects perfect medical fitness.
The Students’ Council is the forum of student representatives that steer the student community. The council is a bunch of highly motivated and focused students who coordinate the placement activities, seminars, discipline, public relations, cultural activities, sports, academics etc.
At BITM the council believes that every hidden talent should be discovered and every dream should be realized. The council forms the bridge to transfer the discipline and the tradition and work actively in molding the student managers to reach their desired destinations.
Each and every student passing out of BITM is required to become a member of ‘BITM Alumni Association’ by paying a membership fee is equivalent to one month’s ‘take home pay’ which should be paid within three months of a student joining the job through campus placements. This is to appreciate the fact that the management is investing enormous resources and efforts to place the students not with standing the fact loan are being borrowed from banks to create the state of art infrastructure to benefit the students. The resources thus generated will be utilised for ‘debit servicing’, and after that efforts will be made to create ‘BITM Clubs’ in the capital city of each state-one after the other where all the students of BITM can have privileged club facilities for them and their families. This also shows our confidence that efforts will be made top place each and every student who join BITM.
