The collaboration of Maharishi Institute of Management with Maharishi University of Management is designed to achieve this goal.
M.I.M. is established in India under the auspices of Maharishi Shiksha Sansthan, a Registered Society under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. Maharishi Shiksha Sansthan administers over 175 Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools with about 90,000 students. These are Public Schools designed according to the pattern of the Central Board of Secondary Education curriculum.
Maharishi Institute of Management (M.I.M.) was founded in 1995 in India to provide the future managers of India with the latest principles, practices, and technologies of modern management from around the world. The goal of Maharishi Institute of Management is to create problem-free management in India through management based on Natural Law, so that India can successfully meet the challenges of the globalized economy, maintain cultural integrity, and rise to leadership in the family of nations. About the Campus
Maharishi Institute of Management has come with a new campus on Bangalore-Mysore road ten kms from the Banglore University on a 7 acres. Library
Well stocked with a wide range of management and computer literature, the library is one of the focal points of the Institute. An excellent selection of Indian and foreign journals and periodicals in functional and general areas maintains up-to-date exposure. M.I.M. will have an air-conditioned reading hall, big enough to accommodate over 70 students. The library subscribes to almost all the major newspapers, magazines, and periodicals for keeping the students well informed about the business environment world-wide. The Institute is also in the process of acquiring access to a virtual library of which will make instantly available to students a vast collection of business journals from around the world.
These will be some of the most dynamic and interactive facilities in the new campus with the latest audio and video conferencing facilities. Regular guest lectures and industrial seminars are organised by the students. A well established computer lab with LAN (Local Area Network) workstations exists. The computers has access to variety of the latest management software and user-friendly packages, including simulation package(Marketing, Finance, HRM), office productivity suites, plus compilers and Database Management software packages.
M.I.M. Bangalore is trying to connect to a Terminal Dial-up ISP internet facility (graphics & text), which will enable students to access the latest state-of-the-art business information. It will also play a vital role in co-ordinating with the international professors and research. Each student will have access to e-mail through internet. The campus will soon be connected to high-bandwidth ISDN lines for live video-conferencing and faster internet access.
