About the College
St. Joseph’s College of Business Administration (SJCBA) has been conducting One Year Evening Management Courses since 1968 .The two year post-graduate diploma course (PGDM) in Business Management (AICTE recognized) commenced in 1996.
Backed by a lofty Josephite tradition of 150 years and our own sterling brand equity based on excellence without boundaries and value-based education, we have been able to stand tall in the world of management studies.
In keeping with the traditions of the Society of Jesus which runs Educational Institutions all over the world and in keeping with the spirit and the needs of the times in which we live, the College aims at the integral formation of its students helping them to become men and women of substance. Concretely this means:
St Joseph’s College of Business Administration (SJCBA) had its origin in the year 1996. This management Institute has been promoted by the Society of Jesus, a Jesuit Organization which runs thousands of educational institutions worldwide.
SJCBA is part of the well-known St Joseph’s group of Educational Institutions located in Bangalore. St Joseph’s College, the promoter of SJCBA, was established in the year 1882 AD. Every year, more than 5,000 students are enrolled for both Undergraduate and Post Graduate courses in Arts, Science, Commerce, Computers and Management disciplines in the four independent Colleges namely,
St Joseph’s College (Arts & Science), St Joseph’s College of Commerce, St Joseph’s Evening College, St Joseph ‘s College of Business Administration. SJCBA is under the Management of Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society (Regd), a Christian minority organization.
St Joseph’s College of Business Administration pioneered Management education in Bangalore in 1968 when it started the one-year evening Programme in Business Management. The full time PGDM programme commenced in 1996.

About the Campus
Housed in the heart of Bangalore City, St. Joseph’s College of Business Administration is a wonderful blend of heritage with the contemporary. It has the physical infrastructure required to provide an optimal learning environment in a modern B-school, in a building whose halls have seen the passage of 120 years.
SJCBA’s library has close to 12,000 books, 70 national & international periodicals & CD-ROMS. Students also have access to the libraries of the British Council & IIM-B, online journals of XLRI & the online CMIE database (PROWESS).
Though housed in a heritage structure, SJCBA is a fully networked campus. The classrooms, audio-visual rooms, library, conference center, faculty cabins, etc, are connected on a Local Area Network (LAN). Over 85 terminals & state-of-the art peripherals supplement the IT backbone.
The Institute has a modest in-house gymnasium & indoor sports facility that ensures that students stay fit.
To enable enhanced knowledge interface, the classrooms are provided with state-of-the art presentation devices.
SJCBA has a conference center with modern amenities that ensure high quality of interface with representatives from industry.
A home away from home, that’s the hostel for all those students who have travelled miles to be at SJCBA. We at SJCBA have taken efforts to bring the best of facilities so that our students focus on what they are here for – studies.
The SJCBA hostels cater to individual needs of the students, both in terms of boarding & lodging.
