Uttar Pradesh – State Entrance Examination (UP-SEE)
Uttar Pradesh State Government conducts State Entrance Examination (UP-SEE) every year for admitting students to degree courses in Engineering / Pharmacy / Architecture / Hotel Management and Post Graduate courses MCA / MBA of State Government aided and private unaided institutions affiliated to U.P. Technical University along with some other Universities of Uttar Pradesh.
UP-SEE is the common entrance Exam conducted by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to the state candidates to get admission in the following courses offered through different Institutes/Universities:
# Master in Business Administration (MBA)
# Hotel Management programs
# Master in Computer Application (MCA)
# Engineering programs
# Pharmacy programs
# Architecture programs
Eligibility
UP-SEE Exam is open to the candidates who qualify the eligibility conditions as outlined hereunder:
* Domicile Restriction: This admission test is open only to the candidates who and/or whose parents are domicile of U.P.
* Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 3 year degree course with Mathematics as one subject at 10+2 level or at degree level for admission to 1st year of M.C.A., and 3 year degree course in any discipline for admission to 1st year of M.B.A.
* The candidates appearing in qualifying examination are eligible to appear in SEE subject to the condition that they will fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of counseling.
Test Pattern
Management candidates have to appear for an aptitude test of similar pattern as MAT
Counselling
Based on the UP-SEE test score/merit/ranks, the centralized counselling is conducted on-line through Internet in two phases.
* In Phase-I, which will be off-campus on-line, the candidates can exercise their choices at place of their convenience to know about indicative choice allotment at frequent intervals.
* Phase-II will be on-campus on-line, where eligible candidates will be required to report at pre-specified counselling centres for registration and final choice submission. The counselling is conducted at different counselling centres and also be available on the website www.uptu.nic.in
Tentative Dates
UP-SEE exam is held in the month of March every year.For the exact date please visit our exam alert and notification section.
Test Centres
The test is conducted in 23 cities of U.P. along with Delhi, Roorkee and Dehradun.
Application
The Information Brochure of UP-SEE, containing OMR application form is available for sale in cash in all Head Post Offices and Mukhya Dak Ghars (MDGs) of UP. The Information Brochure and OMR application form can also be obtained by Post from Registrar, UP Technical University, IET Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow by sending a MICR bank draft in favor of Finance Officer, UP Technical University, Lucknow along with two self-addressed stickers. The applications will be received in the University Office by Registered / Speed Post only.
