USA MBA Schools Admission Eligibility
Post B-schools in the US require 16 years of undergraduate education or four years of education after high schools from an applicant and do not entertain those, who have a three year degree after high school. Four year degrees in programs such as engineering, are required. You can also apply if you have an MSc, MA or Mcom degree after your graduation.
USA MBA Schools Application Process
For applying to MBA programs in the US, you are required to send an official transcript or mark sheet that tells about your performance in your previous collages or university that you have attended after high school. Along with your transcripts you also have to send letters of recommendation written by a known professor, teacher or person who knows you well. Most universities ask for the transcripts and letters to be sealed in an envelope and signed by the registrar of your college or university.
Students then have to take the GMAT, the scores of which are required by most Management schools in the US. Students from non-English speaking countries also have to sit for the TOEFL test.
Prospective students are also expected to provide a detailed essay or a personal statement that defines why you wish to take up the particular course and your past education and experience in that field.
Tuition Fee Living Costs and Other Expenses in US
Prospective students need to get full information about the tuition fees of their chosen course. It is to be kept in mind that the student will have to pay extra for living costs and other expenses too on top of the tuition fee. The amount of the fees may vary, depending on the B-School applied in. Very few B-Schools in the US offer scholarships for the overseas students who wish to do an MBA. Most students take up educational loans to pay for their expenses. There are limited job opportunities in the US, which you can take up while attending your classes. However, you require an approval from the US Immigration & Naturalization Service for this.
MBA Admissions in USA Visa Application
Once the students get their acceptance or a confirmation letter from the universities they apply in, they can proceed for the student visa. The application must be made at the US Embassy or the Consulate. Students who are applying for the full time course need to get an F-1- Student Visa.
The procedure for MBA admissions in USA is a long affair. You are advised to start your preparations well in advance to avoid any kind of delay or complications in the end. It is also always advised to apply well in advance to the universities for your admission in a Management Course.
